Based on information provided by the National Park Service and assuming the availability of appropriated funds, CBO estimates that conducting the study would cost about $250,000 over the next three years. Enacting H.R. 298 would not affect direct spending or revenues; therefore, pay-as-you-go procedures do not apply. H.R. 298 contains no intergovernmental or private-sector mandates as defined in the Unfunded Mandates Reform Act and would not affect the budgets of state, local, or tribal governments.
