Mr. ROBERTS, from the Committee on Veterans' Affairs,
submitted the following
REPORT

The Committee on Veterans' Affairs, to whom was referred the bill
(H.R. 10173) to amend title 38, United States Code, to improve the
pension programs for veterans, and survivors of veterans, of the Mexi-
can border period, World War I, World War II, the Korean conflict,
and the Vietnam era, and for other purposes, having considered the
same, reports favorably thereon by unanimous voice vote, with amend-
ments, and recommends that the bill, as amended, do pass.
The amendments (stated in terms of the page and line numbers of
the introduced bill) are as follows:
Page 2, line 8, insert (a) after SEc. 102.
Page 3, line 2, strike out clauses (11) through (14) and insert in
lieu thereof clause (11).
Page 3, after line 2, insert the following (and redesignate succeeding
paragraphs accordingly):
(10) redesignating clause (12) as clause (7) and striking out
chapter 35 in such clause and inserting in lieu thereof , chapters
31, 34, and 35;                                           i
(11) striking out clauses (13) and (14) ;
Page 3, line 3, strike out (7) and insert in lieu thereof (8).
Page 3, line 8, strike out (8) and insert in lieu thereof (9).
Page 3, line, 12, strike out (7) and insert in lieu thereof (8).
Page 3, line 18, strike out a the second place it appears.
Page 3, line 22, strike out a.
Page 5, line 4, strike out provided and insert in lieu thereof
prescribed.
