-            Obituary
PETER RTERcoOK for many years a Judge of the Su-
preme Court of Ohio died at the residence of his son, at
Paineerille, after a short but severe ilness, on the 4th
inst., aged about70 years. Judge Hitchcock was a native
of Connecticut, and a pioneer in Ohio, and no man has
lived within her borders more identified with her rise and
progress-ber whole history. A lawyer, and a good one.
