          Thank you for the opportunity to submit written testimony before President Trump's
          Commission on Law Enforcement and the Administration of Justice.

          The Brennan Center is a non-partisan law and policy institute that focuses on improving
          America's systems of democracy and justice. 1 The Brennan Center's Justice Program
          seeks to ensure a rational, efficient, effective, and fair criminal justice system. As part of
          that mission, we seek to end mass incarceration in the United States and reduce racial and
          economic disparities within the justice system.
