Analysis of the proposed Housing Act of 1949 (S. 1070) by
Thomas S. Holden, President of F. W. Dodge Corporation,
and Chairman of the Urban Redevelopment Committee of
the Commerce and Industry Association of New York, Inc.
On April 4, 1949, a companion bill, H.R. 4009, was intro-
duced in the House of Representatives. It differs from
S. 1070 in prov~ding for a larger program of low-rent public
housing.
