BRIEF OF APPELLANT.
The plaintiff claims $10,000 damages for an illegal
seizure of her store, made by the defendant as U. S.
Marshal, under a fi. fa. issued from the Circuit Court of
the United States on a judgment for some $5,000,
recovered in that Court by Robertson & Hudson vs.
A. Rose, plaintiff's husband.
The elements of damage as set forth in the peti-
tion, are:
1st.-Loss of profits in consequence of the de-
struction of plaintiff's business.
2d.-Loss of credit produced by the seizure.
3d.-Depreciation of stock.
4th.-Lawyer's fees in the injunction suit heretofore
tried in which she successfully enjoined the marshal
from proceeding under his seizure.
