Tanuary 19, 1931,
My dear Mr. Shearer:
Won't you fill out the
enclosed card to assist The Crusaders in
their work against National Prohibition.
We are doing our utmost
to bring about the repeal of the Eighteenth
.Amendment and to substitute real temperance
for Prohibition intemperance.
Please note the brief
report and our platform on pages two and
three of this letter. The success of our
work up to date speaks for itself, but it
is urgent that we extend The Crusaders move-
ment into every Congressional District while
the interest is still high.
SA:goerely yrouip, f)
Charles H, Sabin, J3.
Executive Commander.

CHS:DS

BELIEVE That National Prohibition has incited crime and increased lawlessness, hypocrisy and corruption, that the cae
eal temperance has been retarded and that sumptuary laws have no place in the Federal Constitution. We are thereforc
willing to support any measure which will bring about a sane solution of the problem.
