Redfield on the Law of Railways.

A PRACTICAL TREATISE ON THE LAW OF RAILWAYS.
By ISAAC F. REDFIELD, LL. D., Chief Justice of Vermont. 1 vol.
   8vo. $5.50.
The high legal and judicial reputation of Chief Justice Redfleld is a sufficient guar-

great care, and an accurate perception of the precise question, and of the prnciples ap-
plicable to it.
These qualities he has brought to the composition of this book; and the result can-
not be fairly characterized as any thing less than an admirable work. It is so condensed
and compact, so crowded with important matter, so wide, or rather universal, in its
scope and extent, that it would be impossible even to enumerate all its topics in a notice
of moderate extent..... Upon each topic the law is stated so fully and clearly, and
made to rest upon such fundamental principles, that a lawyer or student who has occa-
