Members Are Elected
'Fiie South Carolina Bar's Board ,f Governors has received
the same number of nominating petitions as there are eligible
vacancies for the Second, Fourth, Sixth, Eighth, Twelfth and
Sixteenth Judicial Circuits to lilouse of Delegates. Those
individuals nominated are thus hutomaticully elected.

In the 10th Judicial Circuit, William N. Epps of Anderson

the Board of Governors wil! fill the position.
In the 14th Judicial Circuit iore nominating petitions than
eligible vacancies were receiv.d. Ballots will be mailed
shortly to all lawyers in this citctit, asking them t vote for
three flouse of Delegatem membes. ieallots are to be returned

Mock Trial To Begijn

The South Carolina Bar's
Second Annual Mock Trial
Competition for high school
studets begins on Mdrch 7.
Tweoty-five schools are
participating this year. 'flis

front 1982.
According to Jack Ilanna,
S. C. Bar member and
chairmun  vf the Public
Education Subcommittee of
the Public Affairs Commit-
tee, there will be five rounds
of single elimination
competition. lie added that
trials are slated for
Columbia, Spartanburg,
Greenville and Charleston.
Wendy Sictluff, a University

of South Carolina School of
law student, is assisting
Ilanna and is serving her
second year as coordinator.
The final round will be
held in Columbia in late
March at a time to be
announced. Associate
Justice C. Bruce Littlejohn of
the Supreme Court of South
Carolina will preside.
The program     needs
participation from at least 65
members of the S. C. Bar to
either coach.icams or judge

President Appears at
Appeals Court Hearing

On January 19 representa-

It is important to note,
however, that the Bar has
made certain changes in its
prior position, said Glenn.
The Bar has resolved that it
supports an amendment to
Article V  of the South
Carolina  Constitution  to

Mid-Year Meeting Attracts 692

The recently concluded
South Carolna flar Mid-
Year Meeting hell in

attracted a record number of
participants as 692 people
were in attendance. Of this
number 415 were lawyers.
