The Bar launched its Casemaker® online
library in September.
Originally launched by the Ohio State Bar
Association in 1998, Casemaker® is a uniqu
online legal research tool with a powerful
search engine providing access to a combin
tion of state and federal materials.
Casemaker® includes historic to current
cases, statutes and regulations. The South
Carolina library also includes the South
Carolina Code of Laws, ethics advisory opin-
ions, court rules, published and unpublished

USC School of Law to honor
Compleat Lawyers

E ach year the University of South
Carolina School of Law Alumni
Association recognizes nine out-
standing alumni at the Alumni
Association Compleat Lawyer
Awards Dinner. The honorees
are individuals who have made
significant contributions to the
legal profession and who exem-
plify the highest standards of pro-
fessional competence, ethics and
integrity.
This year's honorees are: C. Ben Bowen,
Victoria L. Eslinger and W. Duvall Spruill
(platinum recipients); Thomas C. Brittain,
Albert D. McAlister and Robert E. Stepp

(gold recipients); and Robert E
Daley Jr., Harry R. Easterling Jr.
and J. Hagood Tighe (silver
recipients).
The awards dinner will be
held on Friday, October 8,
at the Embassy Suites on
Greystone Boulevard in
Columbia. The reception will
begin at 6 p.m. with dinner fol-
lowing at 7:30 pm. The classes of
1964, 1974, 1989, 1994 and 1999, which
are celebrating reunions this year, will also
be honored during the program. For more
