The 1992 DuRantDistitguihed Public Servico
Award was given to Terrell L. Glenn of ColumUa at
the Annual M-sting in Asheville. The award was
prezented daring the Azzambly of Bar membor at
tho Grove Park Inn.
Glenn, a p.rtner in the firm of Glenn, Irvin,
Murphy, Gray & Stopp, has oeen pracicing law since

J953, after earning his J.D. degree from the Univer-
ity-of South Carolina School of Law.
Among Glendea many achievements are serving
as U.S. District Attorney for the Eastern District of
South Carolinafrom 1961 to 1969 and as Bar Presi-
dent from 1932 to 1983. Glenn is a member-of the
South Carolina Supreme Court Committee on Rules
of Civil Proceduze and a perrakansnt member of the
United States Judicial Conference for the Furth
Circuit. He also served an Chair of the Baet Commit-
tes on the State Judiciary and is a ifo Fellow of the
Bar Foundfion.
Glenn id married to the former Louise-B. 0.cn3
and has four childrn, J..LyleG IV, Tcral L. Jr.,
Rebecca Hand Long and Louice Ocus.
The Duidmt Award was eztabliohed in 190 in
memory of Manning lawyer Chaniton Durant. The
award is given each yerw to a lawyer elected by
tho Bar -ounlations Lord, of Diwel.ratc for out-
tandin, public crvie to th e Iewdproe zi'n and
the community.
