It also provides them with an overvih of the legal process that they are now going through Over a pe- riod of a few weeks they meet and hear from a judge, attorney and mental health professional familiar with these types of cases and Issues. The PEACE (Parent Education and Custody Effectiveness) program established In Nassau County through the committed efforts of Professor Andrew Schepard of I lofstra Law School, Supreme Court Justice Joseph A Demam, Family Cnurt Judge Julianne S Eisman, Stephen Sclhsel and Sim Ferrara serves as a model for programs not only statewide but nation. ally, as well.
