COMMITTEE VOTES
SPECIALIZATION PLAN:
BOARD ACTION SEEN:
Clauz H. Bunz, chairman of the Commit-
tee on Specialization of The Iowa State
Bar Association has informed the officers
and Board of Directors of the Association
that the Committee has voted to send a
proposed plan of specialization to the
Board of Governors for consideration. The
plan was adopted by the Committee after
many hours of work and deliberation.
The complete text of the specialization
plan, which is patterned after a model plan
developed by The American Bar Associa-
tion, has been mailed to each in-state
member of the Association. The mailing
also included a copy of the ABA plan
showing the changes proposed by The
Iowa Bar Association Committee. The
mailing to the membership is consistent
with Association policy to keep the mem-
bership informed as fully as possible. Each
member will then have full knowledge of
the exact details of the proposed plan. It is
hoped that the plan will be discussed at
county and district Bar meetings through-
out the State.
It is anticipated that the plan will be
debated at the March 23, 1984 Board of
Governors meeting in Des Moines, but
that no vote will be taken uniti the June
1984 Board meeting. If you have not read
the plan, we include the complete text in
this edition of the Bulletin at page 17.
