meeting of the corporation for the purpose of
-.dopting or rejecting the new Code of Pro-
,asional Responsibility adopted by the ABA.
The Board of Governors, upon the recom-
mendation of the Committee on Professional
Ethics and Conduct of the Association had
recommended certain amendments to the Code.
At the special meeting the Code, as recom-
mended for amendment by the Board of Gov-
ernors, was adopted. At the direction of the

ARCHITECTS RECOGNIZE
LEGAL NOTICES AS A
MATTER FOR LAWYERS
Set forth below Is a paragraph taken from
the Addenda, the publication of the Iowa
Chapter of the American Institute of Archi-
tects, which Is thought will be of interest to
members of the Association:
It has been called to the attention of the
chapter that the drawing of legal notices for
purposes of publication in newspapers by
client-owners Is a matter strictly for the
client's attorney. While the practice is not
universal, some Iowa Chapter members have
been preparing these notices and furnishing
them to clients with the admonition that the
client should have his attorney review It be-
fore publication. The Committee on Unauthor-
ized Practice of the Iowa State Bar Associa-
tion has requested that our members should
adopt the policy of refusing to draft such
notices, leaving it strictly to the client and
his own attorney. The Executive Committee
has reviewed this request and has authorized
adoption of the policy as requested by the Iowa
State Bar Association Committee.
