RECORD
PUBLISHED MONTHLY
Vol. 8 CHICAGO, OCTOBER, 1924 No. I

F ELLOW MEMBERS:
Our Association enters the year 1924-25 under conditions
more favorable than any enjoyed since its organization.
The library is now a work-room unexcelled for light, space and
convenient arrangement of the books. Many members of the
Association do not as yet fully realize its practical advantages, and
it is believed that when they do, the use of the library will be con-
siderably increased.
The daily attendance at the dining-room is now about 300. The
attendance is increasing, rather more slowly, however, than I had
hoped it would. When a greater number of the members discover
what good food is served and how agreeable the associations and
surroundings are, I am convinced that the daily attendance will be
largely increased.
The dining-room and the lounge afford valuable opportunities
for increasing acqiaintance and friendliness among the members,
and this will, I believe, add much to the solidarity and influence of
the bar, and to the standing and dignity of our profession.
'he Committees for the current year are appointed, and their
names appear elsewhere in this issue of the Record. I respectfully
urge a full cooperation of the Committees, so that all the matters
in which we are interested may be given prompt and faithful atten-
tion.
JOHN M. CAMERON,
President.
