coordinating the public education campaigns of our Bar Associations in

polit cal announcements Bill Cunningham, who also serves as Chairman
of the State Bar's public information committee, has a great idea, Tie our

number and receives a taped message about law and where to obtain a
lawyer) If both Rochester and Buffalo do this we have a good chance to
obtain the State Bar acsistance in making a contnhution to the costs of
setting up TELE-LAW This program has been especially successful in
San Diego
Back for a 12'30 meeting with Andy Feldman, Chairman Insurance
Committee, and representatives of our malpractice carrier Andy's
committee is considering whether there are any alternatives such as self-
insurance, but this is difficult when the Bar Association membership is not
mandatory in our State The agents are generally more optimistic than at
this time last year but advised that we must anticipate further increase in
premiums. They feel that the expense, while increasing radically in recent
years is still not excessive considering other professions and the fact that
we had a very low premium a few years ago. Andy expects to write an
article for next month's Bulletin which will focus upon the nature of the
new 'claims made policy which is the type 01 coverage that is being
written for our lawyers.
At 600 p m. there is a meeting with representatives of community
roups concerned about the composition of our Special Committee to
