The Corporation: A Theological Inquiry, edited by Michael Novak and
John W. Cooper, focuses on the nature and function of the corporation
in relation to religious values. Special attention is given to the influence
of transnational corporations both within democratic society and world-
wide. This volume presents the proceedings of the third annual Summer
Institute sponsored by the American Enterprise Institute and the Syra-
