Among members of his party, President Donald Trump is decidedly more popular than Republicans in Congress.
Sixty-three percent of Republicans in an October CNN/SSRS poll said they had more confidence in Trump to
deal with major issues than they had in Republicans in Congress. In other recent polls, far more Republicans
said they approved of the way he was handling his job and thought he was taking the Republican Party in the right
direction than said those things about the congressional GOP.
