                         SENTENCING: PRISONS

This is a Discussion Paper, not a report. It discusses some aspects
of the Commission's work on imprisonment. The proposals are
not the Commission's final conclusions. Your submissions on them
would be welcome. All submissions made to the Commission will
be taken into account in preparing the Commission's report.

If you want your submission to be treated as confidential, clearly
mark it 'Confidential'. However, you should be aware that submis-
sions may have to be released under the Freedom of Information
Act 1982.
As far as possible submissions should be related to paragraph num-
bers in the Discussion Paper.
