This paper is not a Commission Report.
It contains a summary of the Commission's recommendations set out in its Interim
Report Sentencing of Federal Of, nders. The Commission intends to hold public
hearings in the near future, details of which will be advertised in the press.
This paper is intended to promote discussion and elicit comments which will be considered
by the Commission in preparing its Final Report. Copies of the Interim Report arc
available from Australian Government Publishing Service Bookshops in each capital
city. As far as possible comments should be related to specific issues in the paper. All
