Did your resolutions this year include becoming - or remaining - more
involved with ALLUNY? There are so many ways to be involved.
First of all, please consider nominating yourself or another ALLUNY
member to serve on the ALLUNY Board. If you've never served, you may
be delighted to discover what a great contribution you can make, enjoyably. If
you've served in the past, perhaps it's time to revisit your legacy. For more
information, see Charlie Finger's announcement on p. 4.
In addition to officers, ALLUNY also needs individuals to contribute to the
Newsletter (as writers, reporters, columnists, photographers, editors - see
Editor's Corner on p. 3 for more info) and to other committee activities.
Why not familiarize yourself with committee charges as described on the
website at http://www.aallnet.org/chapter/alluny/comms.asp. See something
you like? All committee chairs would welcome contact. Not seeing
something you'd like to see? Please share your suggestions with any Board
member.
Next - while you are mulling among these many activities - be sure to
mark your calendar for ALLUNY's annual Spring Institute. This year's
Institute will be held on Friday, May 2nd, at
Syracuse University Law Library on the topic of
1 Fu N h immigration. Watch your mail and e-mail for further
I details soon to come. Looking to get into a Syracuse
state-of-mind? Look no further than Larry
ISeidenberg's tour of the Erie Canal (beginning on p.
721).
