VWol. 1 No. 2 JMNELETTER June 1972
I have a high opinion of lawyers. They
are better to work with, to play with, to
fight with, or to drink with than most
other varieties of mankind.
This is a quote by Mr. Harrison Tweed, former President of the Bar
Association of The City of New York. This inscription is carved into
the mantelpiece in the lounge of the Association's building.
Hank Ilnicky has informed us that the annual compilation of
the monthly reports of the CHECKLIST OF OFFICIAL PUBLICATIONS OF THE
STATE OF NEW YORK is in the printing process now. If you are not
receiving this CHECKLIST and would like to, please contact Henry D.
Ilnicky, Gift and Exchange Section, New York State Library, Albany,
New York 12224.
According to Hank, there has been a delay in the printing of
the LEGISLATIVE MANUAL OF NEW YORK. This delay has been caused by
a budgetary restraint but the 1971-72 volume will be published late
in 1972.
Do we have any frustrated authors among our members? If you
have felt that some particular article should be written relating
to law librarianship, perhaps your suggestions or well-written
articles might be of interest to the editor of the LAW LIBRARY JOURNAL.
This JOURNAL is the official publication of the American Association
of Law Libraries and is published quarterly; February, May, August
and November. For any further information, please write to Mr. Connie
E. Bolden, Editor, Supreme Court Law Library, Temple of Justice,
Olympias Washington 98501.
