PROPERTY PROPOSED FINAL DRAFT
OF VOLUMES 1 AND 2
More Important Changes from Tentative Drafts, for
Discussion at the Fourteenth Annual Meeting
May 7-9, 1936
The Proposed Final Draft of the first two volumes
of the Restatement of the Law of Property contains
(1) the modifications in; and (2) the additions to the
six Tentative Drafts, which have been considered by
the Annual Meetings in 1929 and since. Consequently
it is a supplement to the Tentative Drafts and must
be read along with them, rather than separately from
them.
The work of seven years has resulted in increased
experience, and, we hope, increased wisdom as well.
This has made it necessary to rewrite considerable
parts of the material heretofore submitted and to in-
sert substantial new blocks of material. The purpose
of this leaflet is to draw the attention of the members
to the more important of the changes thus made prior
to the discussion of the draft at the Annual Meeting.
This list is not all inclusive of such changes. Indeed
the Proposed Final Draft itself does not include re-
prints of Sections, Comments and Illustrations changed
in wording solely for the purpose of symmetry or in-
creased clarity. Only those matters appear in the
Proposed Final Draft as to which it was thought the
members of the Institute might desire to be heard.
