Questions Suggested for Discussion at
Eleventh Annual Meeting
May 4-6, 1933
Discussion is not confined to the questions pre-
sented here. In view of the limited time for discussion,
however, those attending the meeting should come pre-
pared to ask specific questions or to raise specific points.
§ 220. Distribution of Risk of Loss. Is the trus-
tee liable for a loss resulting from the failure to diver-
sify investments ?
If so, and he invests more than a proper propor-
tion of the estate in a single security, is he liable for
the whole of the loss?
Is it material that he makes two successive invest-
ments in the same security, and thnt the first is not
excessive?
§ 221. Amount Which May Be Lent on Mortgage.
If the trustee lends on mortgage more than a proper
proportion of the value of the mortgaged property, is
he liable only for the loss of the excess, or is he liable
for the whole loss?
§ 223. Investments Subsequently Becoming Im-
proper, Is the standard of prudence as to retaining
investments different from that applicable to making
investments?
