Dear Doctor Levis:
Here-ith is a draft, along the lines I mentioned to you
Tuesday, for consideration by our subcommittee Friday.
This draft includes all that I remember or have so far
discovered in the Minutes as having been referred to us.
More particularly it covers items 4 (due process), 7
(right against unreasonable searches and seizures), 9
(excessive fines), 10 (cruel and unusual punishment) of
the 1negative rights listed on page 7 of your original
Agenda, together with others raised in the discussion,
e.g., habeas corpus and ex post facto.
I have reserved a small room (17o. 510) at the Bar
Association for 12 otclock, noon, Friday.
