Dear M rs. Sanders:
I have been trying to get you on the telephone, but find you have
none, baving doubtless cancelled it Trhen you went to South America.
I learned from Mr. Canyes of the Pan Anerican Union that your husband
is expected back at any moraent, but knowing what that means when a person
comes from the other end of South America I an writin- this letter to you$
being very anxious to see him as soon as possible. I expect to he in
Washington Saturday, possibly Friday. If he is back, or when he comes
ask bin to call me up in the evening in Philadelphia at Germantown 2364
and reverse the charges.
I heard'1ndirectly you were coming back a little while ago, but I
did not know you had arrived or Mrs. Lewis and I would have sent you a
word of welcome.
