Re: Ulman Lomorial
Dear Mr. Lewis:
After writing you the other day, it occtu'red
to me that I could give you a clearer understanding of
my ideas about education for democratic citizenship and
its relation to prevention of crime by sending you copies
of -wo papers I have written. Parts of them are reptitious,
but most of it is not and together they express my philosophy
of how democracy can be made to work effectively and thereby
prevent crime. Judge Ulman was good enough to read them and
make suggestions.
,7hen I see you next week, vie can discuss our
respective ideas and consider the matter further or come
to some conclusion that can be submitted to those who are
much interested to receive your suggestions.
I would like to make clear to you that I am not
trying to influence your recommendations and feel sure you
will not allow my ideas to interfere with any that you think
are more appropriate.
Sincerely yours,
V I CTO0R ','qJLjiT0
