Discussion is not confined to the questions pre-
sented here. You are earnestly requested to raise any
further points which occur to you.
I.
Statute of Frauds.
1. Why is it, throughout the Chat)er on the Stat-
tile of Frauds, that the language of the Statute is not
used aid various coniets siml)ly said to be within
the Statuite, instead of Vitlhin a specified Class?
2. A  )i'im'il ml debtor mnl slrety severally prom-
ise orally and unoiditiomilly to pay for goods tben
delivered to the principal debtor for his own use. Is
the suret:y's promise witlhin the Statute of' Frauds.
3. Is an oral promise for a new consideration,
made 1y a third person to a creditor to pay his debt-
or's debt if the debtor does not. pay, elnforceable?
4. Is a promise of a third person to indemnify
a surety from liability within lhe Statute of Frauds?
5. Are mutual promises of two )ersons to marry
each other within the Statute of Frauds?
6. A promises to lease Blackacre to B for one
year from the first of the following month. In con-
sideration of A's promise, B promises to accept the
lease and to pay rent of $100 a month. A   signs a
memorandum. B's promise is oral. B refuses to
perform. Is his promise enforceable?
