Rules A and 1 - 13
Rule A - Definitions
Vnenever any of the following words or phrases is used in
these.,ules, it has the meaning hereinafter speoified*
(1) Action includes action, suit, criminal prosecution and
every other proceeding in a court of before a judioial tribunal.
(2) Finds means is convinced that it is more probable than
not.
(3) Judge includes a court consisting of more than one judges
(4) Jury includes a judge or number of judges when sitting to
try an issue of fact, other than one preliminary tn +he admiesibility
of evidence*
(5) Relevantovidence means evidence having appreciable probative
value upon any matter projable in the action.
(6) Material matter means a matter the existence or non-existenoe
of which is provable in the aotion.
(7)Verbal means consisting of words whether oral or written.
(8) Writing includes handwriting, typewriting, printing
and every other means of recording upon any tangible thing, any letters
or symbols or combinations thereof.
