15            After discussing drafts submitted by Professor   ikcll;

17   Professor Rollin IA. Perkins of the Iowa Law School, and the

19   roport of Professor George B. Donnsion  of Yale University, tre

21   Section recommends the adoption of  the following draft on Uct

23   or Close Pursuit, namely:

25   Section 1.  Any peace  officer of another state of the Unicod

27   States who  enters this state in close pursuit and. continues

29   within  this state in such close pursuit of a person in order to

31   arrest him  on the ground that ho has committed a felony* in

33    such other state shall have the same a.uthority to arrest anC

35    hold in custody such person as peace >fficers of tbi;i _tate have

37    to arrest and hold in custody a nprs.m on the gr .und that ie has

39    committed a felony in this state,

41    Section 2.  For the purpose of thi s act the ep)rd Ltae shall

43    include the District of Columbia.

45    Section 3.  Sectien 1 of tnis Act shall n)t be ^)nstruCe. s,) t5

47    to make unlawful any arrest in this state which w-.uld otheris

49    be lawful.

59    close pursuit in order to arrest him on the ground that he has
