NEWS FROM FIJI
Since the dismissal of the government in May
2000 work has been disrupted in Fiji but the
Attorney General's Library through Mina
Shandil, the Librarian, was still able to fax

gazettes contain the decrees of the interim
military government and include the abolition
of the Supreme Court.' Sir Gerard Brennan
and Sir Anthony Mason resigned from the
Supreme Court before its abolition.
SOLOMON ISLANDS

an ALLG Pacific Twinning Scheme when he
gave a presentation at the Specials, Law and
Health Library Conference, Canberra in 1991
on the High Court of Solomon Islands
Library. He has recently been appointed
Attorney General in Honiara. In this capacity
