J. vol. 23; 1993 IN ADDITION NOTICE OF ANNUAL MEETING OF THE MEMBERS OF THE ENVIRONMENTAL AND NATURAL RESOURCES LAW SECTION OF THE STATE BAR OF TEXAS The Section's annual meeting will be held in conjunc- tion with the State Bar of Texas Annual Convention in Fort Worth on Friday, June 18,1993. The Executive Committee will meet at 7:30 am. The Annual Meeting of the members of the Section will be from 8:30 am. to 11:30 am. with breakfast and a program. A proposal to amend the bylaws of the Section will be considered. This proposal would provide for a stipend to be paid to the Editor-in-Chief of the JournaL CHANGES IN THE ENVIRONMENT Umphrey Named TPWD Commission Vice-Chairman Beaumont attorney Walter Umphrey was elected vice- chairman of the Texas Parks and Wildlife Commission during a public hearing January21, 1993, in Austin, Texas. Umphrey was appointed to a six-year term on the nine- member commission by Governor Ann Richards on Janu- ary 24, 1992. Umphrey is a graduate of Baylor University School of Law and a senior partner in the law firm of Umphrey, Eddins and Carver. New TPID Commissioners Named Governor Ann Richards has named three new com- missioners to the TPWD Commission: former Lietenant Governor William P. Hobby, Mickey Burleson, and Ray Clymer. Recent TPWD Commissioners Honored During a public hearing of the Texas Parks and Wild- life Commission in Austin, Texas on January 21, 1993, three recent commissioners were honored for their ser- vice to the commission. The six-year terms of Henry C. (Peter) Beck III and Beatrice Carr Pickens, both of Dallas, and Chuck Nash of San Marcos, expired February 1, 1993. Nash also served as chairman of the commission from 1988-91. GLO Names Administrative Law Judge Nancy Wilmeth, a former Stephen F. Austin Univer- sity Assistant Law Professor, has been named Administra- tive Law Judge for the General Land Office.
