INTRODUCTION Never have the ethical dimensions of modernity been drawn more sharply than at the contemporary intersection of globalization and human rights, as manifest in the burgeoning practice of trafficking in persons. In our globalizing world, with its accelerating contractions and human dislocations, trafficking has increased in magnitude and reach, becoming a major human rights concern.
