                             WASHINGTON, D.C.

                     Issued Under Delegated Authority

 Notice of Intent of

      METROFLICGT, INC. Docket 40210

 to suspend service at Lawton/Ft.
 Sill, Oklahoma

ORDER EXTENDING REQUIREMENT TO PROVIDE AIR SERVICE

By Order 81-12-179, December 31, 1981, the Board required Metroflight,
Inc. to provide essential air service at Lawton/Ft. Sill, Oklahoma, for
 a 30-day period, through February 1, 1982. By Order 81-12-19, December 3,
1981, the Board indicated that it is reviewing the community's essential
 air service determination.

Section 419(a)(6) of the Act directs the Board to extend a carrier's
service obligation for 30-day periods after the end of the 30-day notice
period required by section 419(a)(3)(B) if it determines that no other
carrier can be secured to provide essential air service at the point.
Since the Board has not completed its review of Lawton/Ft. Sill's
essential air service determination, we will extend Metroflight's re-
quirement to provide essential air service between Lawton/Ft. Sill and
Oklahoma City for an additional 30 days, through March 3, 1982.

     ACCORDINGLY,

     1. We require Metroflight, Inc. to continue to provide essential
air service at Lawton/Ft. Sill, Oklahoma, for a 30-day period from
February 2, 1982 through March 3, 1982;

     2. We will serve a copy of this order on the Mayors and Airport
Managers of Lawton and Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; the Oklahoma Aeronautics
Commission and letroflight, Inc.; and

     3. We may amend or revoke this order at any time at our discretion
without a hearing.

Persons entitled to petition the Board for review of this order
under the Board's Regulations, 14 CFR 385.50, may file their petitions
within 10 days after the date of service of this order.
