ORDER By Order 68-8-19, the Board, inter alia, denied the motion of Southern Airways, Inc. (Southern) to consolidate its application in Docket 19964 to the extent that such application sought authority to serve Atlanta, Ga., and placed in issue modification of the restric- tions in the certificate of Piedmont Aviation, Inc. (Piedmont), for route 87 to the extent that such restrictions would otherwise prevent Piedmont, if authorized for service in this proceeding, from operating one-stop service between Atlanta and Washington/Baltimore or New York/ Newark. Petitions for reconsideration of the aforesaid order have been filed by Delta Air Lines, Inc, (Delta), and Southern, and answers have been filed by Delta, Piedmont, and the Bureau of Operating Rights. Delta in its petition asks the inclusion as an additional issue in this case the modification of condition 8 of its certificate for route 24 to the extent that such condition would otherwise preclude Delta from operating one-stop service between Charleston, S.C. and Washington/Baltimore or New York/Newark. 1/ Both Delta and Southern have existing authority to provide service between Charleston and Columbia but Southern if authorized for new service in this proceeding could, by tacking the proposed new authority to existing authority at Charleston, operate one-stop service between the latter point and Washington or New York whereas Delta because of the restriction in its certificate could not. Delta contends that the relief sought here is identical to that granted Piedmont in our previous order (68-8-19) 1/ Condition 8 prohibits single-plane service between points on Delta's route 24 north of Atlanta and points south thereof on the carrier's route 54. Charleston is authorized for service on both routes.
