     PROVIDING   FOR  CONSIDERATION OF MOTIONS TO
                    SUSPEND   THE  RULES



   DECEMBER 13 (legislative day, DECEMBER 12), 2001.-Referred to the House
                  Calendar and ordered to be printed


         Mr. DIAZ-BALART, from the Committee on Rules,
                    submitted the following


                       REPORT

                     [To accompany H. Res. 314]
  The Committee  on Rules, having had under consideration House
Resolution 314, by a nonrecord vote, report the same to the House
with the recommendation that the resolution be adopted.
           SUMMARY  OF PROVISIONS OF THE RESOLUTION
  The resolution provides that suspensions will be in order at any
time on the legislative day of Wednesday, December 19, 2001. The
object of any motion to suspend the rules shall be announced from
the floor at least one hour prior to its consideration. The rule fur-
ther provides that the Speaker or his designee will consult with the
Minority Leader  or his designee on  any suspension  considered
under this resolution.
