T HE Author of the following Letter
did not intend that it fhould be made
public till after the Trial of Mrs. Rudd,
left it might poffibly be thought that it was
publifhed with a view of injuring her with
her Jury, or the Public: an intention which
he utterly difclaims-But, as it has, been
faid in the public papers, that the Report of
the Perreaus is to be made to his Majelly
the very next day after Mrs. Rudd's Trial,
which is expeaed to come on one day this
week, the Author, for this reafon, thought
the Publication cottld not be delayed any
longer.
