BILL IN EQUITY.
To the Honorable the Judges of the Circuit Court of the United States
for the District of Massachusetts:
WILLIAm BEACH LAWRENCE, a resident of Newport, in the State of
Rhode Island, and a citizen of said State, brings this his bill of com-
plaint against Richard Henry Dana, Jr., of Cambridge, Doctor of Laws,
and Charles C. Little of Cambridge, Augustus Flagg of Boston, John
Bartlett of Canibridge, Henry T. Miles of Boston, booksellers and
publishers, copartners, doing business at said Boston, under the style
and firm of Little, Brown & Company, and Miss Martha B. Wheaton,
both in her own right and as administratrix and representative of Mrs.
Catherine Wheaton, late deceased, both of' said Canibridge, all in the
District of Massachusetts, and all citizens of the State of Massachusetts.
Thereupon your orator complains and shows unto your Honors, that
the late Henry Wheaton wrote and composed a book or treatise which
