ACTS PASSED AT WINDSOR IN OCTOBER 1785
AN ACT EMPOWERING THE ADMINISTRATORS TO THE ESTATE OF
WILLIAM DOUGLASS TO SELL PART OF THE
REAL ESTATE OF SAID DOUGLASS
OCTOBER 14TH, 1785
Whereas it is represented to this assembly that the personal Estate
of William Douglass late of Cornwall in the County of Rutland de-
ceased is insufficient by the sum of fifty nine pounds lawful money to
pay the debts due from said estate, Therefore,
Be it enacted and it is hereby enacted by the Representatives of
the freemen of the State of Vermont in General assembly met, and
by the authority of the same, that Aaron Scott and Martha Douglass
Administrators to the Estate of the said William Douglass deceased be
empowered, and they are hereby empowered to sell so much of the
real Estate of the said William Douglass as will pay the sum of fifty
nine pounds lawful money for the purpose of paying the debts due from
said Estate together with the necessary cost arising on said sale taking
the directions of the judge of the Court of Probate for the district of
Rutland therein.
AN ACT ENABLING CAPT. ZADOCK EVEREST AND EZRA SQUIRES
ADMINISTRATORS ON THE ESTATE OF ODEL SQUIRES LATE OF
FERRISBURGH DECEASED TO SELL SO MUCH OF THE
REAL ESTATE OF THE SAID ODEL AS SHALL AMOUNT
TO THE SUM OF  111: 17: 1 TOGETHER WITH
COST ARISING ON SAID SALE
OCTOBER 15TH, 1785
Whereas it appears by the representation of the Judge of Probate
for the County of Rutland, that the personal Estate of Odel Squires
aforesaid deceased is insufficient to pay the debts due from said Estate
by the sum of £111: 17: 1, Therefore,
Be it enacted and it is hereby enacted by the Representatives of
the Freemen of the State of Vermont in General assembly met, and
by the authority of the same, that the said Capt. Zadock Everest and
Ezra Squires Administrators as aforesaid be empowered and they are
