C  11 A    P.   I.
Au ACT concerning the Record of certain ancient Conveyances.
Passed January 29, 1811.
L B .E it enacted by the J'eople of the State of .New- York, rep reaented in
Senate and .Jlsenibly, That the record of any conveyance relating to
any lands or tenements within this state, executed previous to the fourth day
pflJuly, in the year 1776, and acknowledged or proven according to law, and
recorded in the office of the clerk of any of the counties within the late colony
of New-York, or a sworn copy of such record, shall be evidwice in any court
of law or equity in the same manner as the original conveyance would be if
produced and proven.
II. .'nd be it *urther enacted, That the acknowledgment or proof of the
xecution of any deed or conveyance for any lands in this state may be made
and taken before a judge of any territory of the United States, and such ac-
knowle'.gnient or proof shall be taken in the same manner and have the like
eflhct as if taken before a justice of the suprenie court of this state.

AN ACT for the dpptointinent of a Treasurer.
Passed February 11, 1811.
B E it enacted by the Peo/de qf the State qf Wewu- York, reltresented in
Senate and .1Jssembly, That Abraham G. Lansing, of the city of Albany,
be and he hereby is constituted and appointed treasurer of this st.,te, to con-
tinue in office until the 8th day of February, which will be in the year of our
Lord one thousand eight hundred and twcl e.

AN ACT for the Election of a Lieutenant-Governor at the next anniver-
sary Electioa.
Passed February 11, 1811.
W IIEI1FAS by the twentieth article of the constitution of this state it is
made necessary, as often aR the lieutenant-governor shall die, resign or
be removed from officq, a lieutenant-goi erov shall be elected, to continue
in office until the next election for go% ernor. v/nd w /ereas by the decease
of the honorable John B1oomle, late lieutenant-governor of this state, the said
olhice has betoin vacant-ThereTore,
BE it enated by the Peopde of the State of Mew-York, represented in
Senate and.,lssnibl, That a lieutenant-governor be elected at the next an-
i\ er'sary election for senators and members of assembly ; and that the clrk
of the senaitc is herey directed to gih e the due notice thereof, agreeable to
the third section of the act, entitled  an act for regulating elections.
