At a SESSION of the GENERAL ASSEMBLY of MARYLAND$
begun and held at the CITY of ANNAPOLIS, on Monday, the
.th of November, and ended the 23d day of December, in the,
year of our Lord 7792, the following laws were enaded.

C   H  A   P.     I.
An    ACT      to  enable    the court of appeals to continue            certain caufes Paied 2W of
Dec. 1793,
depending in the faid court. Lib. JG. No. x. fol. 563.
WA    HEREAS at June term laft paft, the faid court, from the ficknefs and non-attendance of fome Preamble.
V¥    of the counfel concerned in caufes then depending in the faid court, were induced to adjourn
the fame until Mondaiy the fifth of this inaant, and the faid court is now litting, and feveral cauces
before them cannot be heard and determined for want of time ;

II. BF. IT ENACTED, by the General Almby f Maryland, That the faid court of appeals be and
they are hereby authorifed to continue any caute depending in the faid court, until next June term,
which they may think proper for a hearing on the merits between the parties, and not for delay.

An ACT authorifing certain commiflioners to iffue fummonfes for witneffes in the ca'e therein men-

W       HERE AS doubts are entertained refpeing the powers of the truftees appointed by the fur-
W      ther flpplemclntary aE  j to the ad, eqtitled, An aa for building a new church in the city
of Annapolis,

and they are hereby authorifed and direlld to caufe not lefs than eight days niotice to be given in
the Maryland Gazette, for the fubfcribers to attend at the faid church for the purpofe of chooling
their pews; and the laid trultees are hereby required to give perfonal notice to all fubfcribers who
do not relide in the city of Annapolis; and that thereafter the faid trutlees proceed in the choice
aforefaid agreeably to the direftions of the a&i entitled, An act for building a new church in the
city of Annapolis.

An ACT concerning Foreff-fireet in Baltimore-town, in Baltimore

      IIEREAS it has been reprefented to this general aflesnbly, by the petition of the owners of Preamble.
V     lots, and inhabitants, of ForefR-flreet, and others, in laltimore-tuwn alorefuid, that by all
a& of afl'embly, paffed in the year feventeen hundred and fifty-three, for making an addition to Bal.
timore-town aforefaid, that Forel-fireet was marked and located, on a plot of laid addition, for the
width of fixty-fix feet, and that previous to the laying out the faid addition, the proprietors of the
l'id land did lay out the fame only of the width of eighteen feet, and that the ltreet was built on
and improved by the faid owners of lots of the width of eighteen feet, and that it never was ex.
tended or opened of the width of fixty-fix feet agreeably to the plot thereof, and that it would be
ruinous to many, and extremely injurious to all, the faid owners ,of liid lots, if the laid fireet foul4
be extended to fixty-fix feet as laid out, without benefitting individuals or the town at large ; and
the prayer of the fa'id petitioners appearing reafonable,
