H E R E A S there is a competent Number of Inhabitants already fettled upon that Tradl of Land commonly called and known by the Name of Sancket, within the County of W Barnflable, containing a fullicient Quantity of Land, and lying convenient fbr a Townfhip: Therefore for Encouragement of the faid Settlement, It is Enaded by the Governor, Council, and Reprefentatives, in General Court affembled, and by the Authority-of the fame, That all the faid Lands, lying betwixt the Bounds of the Town of Tarmouth upon the Weft, and the Town of Eafi- ham on the Eaft, running from the Head of Bond-Brook, to the Head of Mlankkct, about Ten Miles in Length, and about Seven Miles in Breadth, extending from Sea to Sea, be, and henceforth thall be, a Townfhip; the Town to be called flarwich ; and (hall have and enjoy all fuch immunities, Ptivileges, and Powers, as generally other Towns within this Province have and do by Law enjoy: Provided it doth not intrench upon former Grants re- [erring to Townihips.
