An Act to incorporate Tristram Barnard and others, by the name of the Dorchester Cotton aid Iron Factoryk SEC. 1. & it enacted by the Sei ate and tlouse qf Representatives in General Court asseml/ed, and by the, authority qf the same, Ihat Tristrain Barnaid, NV iilham Persons mu Bordman, Joshua 1)avis, Caleb Loring, T1oni as Curtis, corporated. and William Mackay, with such others as hereafter may associate with them, their successors or assigns, be, and hereby are made a Corporation , by the name of the Dor- chester Cotton and Iron Factory, fbr the pu 'l)OSC of man'u- ficturimg Cotton and Iron in the town of Dorchester, and for that purpose shall have all the powers and privilcges, and be subject to all the duties and requirements contained in an act passed the third day of March, one thousand eight hundred and nine, entitled An act defining tht gen- eral powers and duties of nmanufacturing corporations. SEc. 2. Be it further enacted, That said corporation may be lawfully seized of such real estate, not exceed- ing the value of fifty thousand dollars, and possessed of such personal estate not exceeding the value of one hun- of ropert% dred thousand dollars, as may be necessary and convenient allowed. for carrying on the manufacture of Cotton and Iron in the said town of Dorchester.
