An act to render valid the doings of the Maine Fire and Marine Insurance Company. WHEREAS, by the Act to incorporate Hugh M'Lellan and others, into a company, by the nare of The Maine Fire wid Marine Insurance Company, which passed February the scventh, one thousand eight hundred; it is provided, that nine Directors of said company shall be elected on the first Tuesday of January in each and every year, at such times of the day, and at such place ini the town of Portland, as a majority of the Directors Fbr t1 time being shall appoint ; of which election publick notice 'dall be given, in at least two of the newspapers, printed in the town of Portland, and continued for the space of twenty days, immediately precedin r such election, and whereas the full notice required thereby, was through inadvertency not given prior to the election of the Directors, on the lirst Tuesday oflanuary, A. One thousand eight hunlrcd eCt. and nine, in the choice of nine Directors of said Company, shall be considered legal and valid, and the same are hereby rendered legal and valid, notice of said meeting, agreeable to the said act, not having been given to the contrary notwith, standing.
