CRAP. I.
WHEREAS the Congress of the United States, by an
Act passed on the 2d day of March, 1829, authorized the
building of'a dyke and break-water or sea-wall, for the
security and improvement of Ilill River Harbor, in this
State, and appropriated six thousand and ninety-seven dol-
lars for the same ;
B   E it enacted by the Senate and lhouse of Representa- Cession of
lives in General Assembly convened, That His Excel- dyke and sea-

Jency the Governor be, and he is hereby authorized and River Harbor.
empowered, to cede the lurisdiction of this State, over the
said dyke and sea-wall, and over all territory and waters
which shall be within three rods of said works respective-
ly, to the United States, by deed of cession, under his
hand, and the seal of this State ; reserving the light of Reservation.
serving and executing all legal process, civil and criminal,
vithin the same.
SEc. 2. That this law take effect immediately f'om the
date of its passage.
