E1) B it enacted by the Governour and Council § 3 and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, That so much of the Act to Partial repeal, which this is in '.ddition, as requires the regiment- al staff to be taken from the line of subalterns, and the line of sergeants, be and the same is hereby repealed. § 2. Be it further enacted, That in future the Length of sa- sabres for the cavalry, shall not be less than three bres. feet in length, exclusive of the hilt, any law or cus- tom notwithstanding. § 3. Be it further enacted, That each non-corn- lorse. missioned officer, musician and private of the horse artillery and cavalry, shall provide himself with a good sufficient horse, of the size required by law ;-- and that so much of the act of which this is an ad- dition, requiring that he shall be the owner of the Partial repeal. same, and which makes it the duly of the comman- der of the company to which he belongs, to dismiss him therefrom, if he should be found, at any time, not to own and possess such horse, be and the same is hereby repealed. § 4. Be it further enacted, That in future. the Regimental or militia of this state, whether artillery, cavalry, ri- batialion re- fleinen, or infantry, shall be reqiired to attend re- views to be once II two view, by regiment or battalion, as the brigadiers of years only. the several brigades shall direct, once in two years only, in the months of September or October, in the manner prescribed by law; any thing in said act to the contrary notwithstanding. § B.
