' Haven is impaired; and as it is the Opinion of this Affembl, that it is not expedient that faid County Ihould rebxild a Goal injaid County at this 5'ime. Therefore, B E it enailed by the Governor, oancil, and Repr ,eftatives, in General Court affembled, and by the Authority of the fame, That until the faid County with Satiry rebuild a Goal, the Civil Authority in the Towns of Gui/ford, Branford, Wallingford and Durham may, and they are hereby au. thorized and dire&ed, to commit all Pe',rons who Nhall or may be indci&ed or informed againft, as being guilty of any Offence which is not b, Law bailable, to the keeper of the Goal in the County of Windham. And the Civil Authority in the Towns of New. Haven, Mi/ford, Derby, Waterbury and Chejhire may, and they are hereby authorized and direted to commit all Perfons who (hall or may be indi&ed or informed againft, as being guilty of any Offence which by Law is not bailable, to the keeper of the Goal in the County of Hartford. And all Officers, civil and military, and other Perfons in this State, fhall give their Aid and Affiftance, fo far as may be neceffary, to carry this Law into Execution, under the fame Penalties as are already by Law provided to carry into Execution the Laws againift Criminal Offences, within the feveral Counties in this State.
