nor and Company of the State of
Coonneficut, in Anerica ; holden at
Hartford, by Adjournient, and
fpecial Order of the Governor, on

Dow. 1780.
An A& for' afcertaining and declaring'the Value
of the Debts due to certain particular Creditors
of this State, and for fupplying the State
Treafury with fuich Surnis as fh.l be neceflhryv
for the uxigences of this Government, and to
anfwr ccrtain     Requifiiions of the       Unite-d
States, and    for  the eftablifhmnent of public
Credit.

as far as pofibk, to every Member bdonging thereto, and in a
tiofl  , pcial Manner to lhose who have placed a particular Confidence Pre-r4k.
in their Equity T hij Government conidering, that in the progrefs of
the prefent moft cruel and opprclive War, the Bills of/pblic Credit have,
by unavoidable Accident become much depreciated ; from which Circum-
ftance fome Doubts mny pffibly arife in the Minds of the public Cre.
ditors of ibis State, that they may hereafter be 'obliged to receive their
Pay according to the depreciated Value of the prefent Currenq.
To prevent all nifapprehenfions of this Nature
B       E it Enafled by the Governor, Council, and Reprefentatibes'
in General Court aff6mbled, and by the Authority of the fame,
That the Notes ecxecuted and ilfued by the Treafurer of  4reAfure's
this State, by virtue of an A& of this Afluimbly paffed in Note. Sc.
December, 1776, and the Bills of public Credit which  how paid,
have been loancd to this State in confequence of an Ad of the
General Affembly pallcd in May, i777 ; and in Confequence of
