B E it enatfed by the Gove'nor, Council, and Reprefentatives, in General Court aff'bled, and by the Authority of the fame, That no Perfon within this State, fhall exvrcife any Office, Civil or Militarys within tile lame, nor vote in any Town, Society; or other public Meeting appointed by Law, nor plead in any Court, (except in his own Caui)5 till he has taken the Oath of Fidelity to this State. And that no Perbfib after zhe firit Day of December next, who hall be appointed Executor on any Eftate, Ihall be admitted to execute that Truff till he has taken faid Oath , but Ad:niniftration, if neceffary fliall be granted, Cum Tefl- 4rnenio annexo, to fome proper Pc ifon, in his Stead ; nor fhall any Perfon after the faid firft Day of December, be appointed Adrniniftra. tor on any E fite, nor Guardian to Any Minor till he Ihall take the aforefaid Oath, An A& concer-ning the feal Efiates of Aliens, and Perfons inimical to the United States of America.
