Cooley$ or. their legal representatives, at Inflatild f infant child of the slave Harrict, who was condemoned to be hung by the county coturt of the county of Frederick, and who died in the jail at Richmond before the sentence wap carried into execution. Be it enacted by the general assembly, that the auditor Of Amount uppro- publie aocounts.be and le is hereby authorized and required to issue priated his warrant on the treasury, payable out of any money therein not othevwise appropriated, in favor of B. B. and J. W. Cooley, or their legal representatives, for the sum of four hundred dollars, that being the appraised value of it slave belonging to them, named .1arriet, :who was convicted of murder in the first degree, at -tho May term in the year eigliteen hundred and sixty-one, of the XFrederiokcounty court, and who died in 3ail.before the sentence was carried into' execution. 2. This not shall be in force from its passage.
